Omotoso Sikiru Adelere joined the Civil Service of Oyo State in January 1998 as an Education Officer. As an Education Officer with Oyo State Ministry of Education Science and Technology he served at the defunct Oyo State Unity School, Igboho, as well as Oyo State Technical Colleges at Igboora and Ibadan.
Because of his love for office and administrative work, he converted from the position of Education Officer to Administrative officers’ cadre and was posted to Oyo State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning as Estimate Officer.
He later joined a World Bank Assisted Project called Local Empowerment and Environmental Management Project (LEEMP) as a Procurement Specialist where he developed himself to become a procurement expert. Omotoso Sikiru had served in various Ministries, Agencies and Commissions in different capacities including Director and Coordinating Director.
He had also participated in different Ad-Hoc assignments which include among others; Secretary to the Commission of Enquiry on NURTW crisis in Oyo State, 2011, Secretary to the Administrative Panel of Enquiry on Allegation of Corruption and Diversion of Government Revenue levied against the State License Officer and Heads of 33 Motor License Authority in the State.
Omotoso Sikiru Adelere had B.Sc. (ed) Hons. Business Administration, Masters in Public Administration (MPA) M.Sc. Business Administration and also belongs to a number of professional bodies which include among others; Member, Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria, Member, Institute of Economists of Nigeria, Member, Association of Procurement Officers, Fellow, Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria.
He had attended several trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences within and outside Nigeria.
